Hi what would you charge for a gilt’s visit ?
david
Hi David, we find a stay of four weeks works well, so if the gilt is covered in the first day or so but is actually too far along in her cycle for a pregnancy to take she’s covered when she next cycles. For this we charge £45, which includes top quality sow & weaner nuts. Our boar is now in his second year but should still be fine for a well grown year old gilt. He’s always been very well behaved (well, thick as a plank really). We have a big purpose-built sty and well-drained concrete run with permanent water supply for visiting sows. You’re very welcome to come and take a look at him. We also have a 4-week old litter of 11 that he sired on the farm at present, so you can see the quality of piglets too.
Now booked until 17th April.
Now booked until 14th May.
Replaced by Onnyview Rufus LAK/210. Young enough for gilts. Booked until 3rd week of December.
Now replaced by a young Onnyview Rufus boar – first litter of piglets (December 2014) may now be seen – excellent conformation and health and well marked.
