How Do I Conform?
It is no longer acceptable to accept a supplier’s word that what you are buying is Gloucestershire Old Spots if you wish to market your product as such. The farmer must conform with the LACORS specification and the simplest way to protect you and add benefits to your marketing is to ask your supplier to apply for TSG approval.

The GOSPBC has established an inspection regime and details can be found TSG Charges & conditions here*  along with a list of producers where Traditionally Farmed Gloucestershire Old Spots Pork can be sourced from. Butchering meat

Butchers must demonstrate that they can fully identify and seperate their approved GOS meat from other produce.


If a restaurant wishes to list Traditionally Farmed GOS on its menu, it must source the meat from a certified producer.


GOS pork has won plaudits for its eating quality and needs the protection of the TSG to ensure its integrity.
