We have launched the 2020 Bloodline Survey. This is a vital part of our conservation programme. We need to know which pigs are alive and which pigs are not so that we can monitor both numbers of breeding pigs but also the genetic diversity within each breed.
Please log onto the members area of the BPA website to complete your survey
It only takes a few minutes and we have to review every herd. If you are unable to complete your survey before November 30th the BPA computer will review the breeding history of your pigs and some of them may be killed off.
At the end of the survey you will also have the opportunity to update your official and personal information. Please confirm that the following are correct. If anything is missing please compete the on-line form at the end of the survey so that we can update your records for the herd.
One of our volunteer breed surveyors may contact you to help you complete your survey. Our surveyors are appointed by the Conservation Committee. They give up their time for free to help us complete this important job so please bear that in mind if they do ring you.
GOS Breed Reps are Mike Smith and Judith Sims and they should be your first port of call for any pedigree issues. Contact details here http://www.gospbc.co.uk/the-club/club-contacts/
