A hot day at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum for the Rare & Traditional Breeds Show. The setting is fantastic, with rolling downs and a museum with many traditional & old buildings showing country life.

There was good turnout of pigs, including GOS club members Clare Wilson and Mark Cottingdon showing GOS pigs.

This show has mixed classes, and competition was keen, with some top showers from the world of Middle Whites, Berkshires and Saddlebacks fresh from success at Yorkshire.

Clare Wilson’s Exfold Princess 238 came a very creditable 2nd in the Sow class, against a strong field, and her Saddleback got reserve champion, so a good day for her.

Mark Cotttingdon was showing for the first time, and we hope this is just the first of many.
